Emergencies, oftentimes, happen when we least expect them. And, in the heat of the moment, our bodies rely on gross motor skills to get us by, and very simple mental processes.
How does this relate to a first aid patch? I’m glad you asked…
I had a pretty severe injury at the beginning of 2025 that left me scrambling to direct my family towards the medical kits. At the time, my kits were not well-organized nor identifiable. My family eventually defaulted to grabbing whatever was nearby to stop the bleeding, and we waited for the ambulance to arrive.
As I was being transferred to our trauma center, I reflected on all that went wrong with the accident, which caused an injury I would now have to recover from. But I also thought through how I could stage my kits better for any future incidents.
